Tamara Ritchie
Executive Director
Born in the northwest and raised in the northeast of British Columbia, Tamara has built her career around strengthening rural communities and understands the unique challenges and opportunities of accessing employment in rural and remote regions.
Tamara served for more than 12 years as a public-school board trustee with School District 59 and has worked in the nonprofit sector since earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Northern British Columbia. Having raised two children in rural communities across the province, she brings both professional and lived experience to her work.
She is committed to empowering individuals with the skills needed for employment, recognizing that this fosters a stronger sense of purpose and belonging, and contributes to healthier, more resilient communities.

Joebelle Flores
Administrative Officer
Joebelle is a Business Management diploma graduate from Northern Lights College. During her studies, she began volunteering at Obair Economic Society where she discovered her passion for community service. Now a dedicated team member, Joebelle is committed to helping individuals achieve their goals. In her free time, she enjoys expressing her creativity through painting.

Miranda McCauley
Financial Controller
Over the last 15 years, Miranda has worked in many factions of Finance, as well as Human Resources and Healthy & Safety, receiving an accounting Diploma in 2019, and Payroll Compliance Professional certificate in 2022. She is familiar with the not for profit environment and appreciates that the goals of the organization include providing support and services for those that are planning their careers and may be experiencing employment challenges.

Joy Lyn Abraham
Project Manager
Having a passion for learning and growth, Joy is committed to serving individuals with aspirations and dreams. She is a former international student and graduate of the Business Management Post-Degree Diploma program from Northern Lights College.

Ramasubbiah Rajendran
Vocational Coach
Ram is a Vocational Coach at Obair Economy Society who is passionate about helping individuals develop the skill and confidence they need to achieve meaningful employment. Outside of work, Ram enjoys carpentry, car repair and spending quality time with Family.

Corey Walker
Marketing & Communications Assistant
Corey is a self-advocate who is passionate about building a society for everybody is included. He comes to Obair with over seventeen years of experience supporting people with disabilities. Corey has a BA in English and History from UNBC and a Provincial Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College. He has over a decade of public speaking experience and has been an on-air presence on community radio in Prince George since 2003. In addition to working for Obair, Corey serves on the board of directors of Community Living BC. For hobbies, he enjoys camping, listening to classic country music and spending quality time with his wife.

Community Outreach, Sponsorship & Fundraising Assistant
Born and raised in the Peace Region, Kaila is proud to be part of a community that values connection and collaboration. In her role, she enjoys working with local partners and supporters to help make a difference. When not at work, you’ll find Kaila exploring the outdoors, creating art, reading, or enjoying a good video game with friends.
