Tamara Ritchie

Executive Director

Born in the northwest and raised in the northeast of British Columbia, Tamara has built her career around strengthening rural communities and understands the unique challenges and opportunities of accessing employment in rural and remote regions.

Tamara served for more than 12 years as a public-school board trustee with School District 59 and has worked in the nonprofit sector since earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Northern British Columbia. Having raised two children in rural communities across the province, she brings both professional and lived experience to her work.

She is committed to empowering individuals with the skills needed for employment, recognizing that this fosters a stronger sense of purpose and belonging, and contributes to healthier, more resilient communities.

Joebelle Flores

Administrative Officer

Joebelle is a Business Management diploma graduate from Northern Lights College. During her studies, she began volunteering at Obair Economic Society where she discovered her passion for community service. Now a dedicated team member, Joebelle is committed to helping individuals achieve their goals. In her free time, she enjoys expressing her creativity through painting.

Miranda

Miranda McCauley

Controller & Financial Analyst

Over the last 15 years, Miranda has worked in many factions of Finance, as well as Human Resources and Healthy & Safety, receiving an accounting Diploma in 2019, and Payroll Compliance Professional certificate in 2022. She is familiar with the not for profit environment and appreciates that the goals of the organization include providing support and services for those that are planning their careers and may be experiencing employment challenges.

Justin is a Post-Degree Business Management graduate from Northern Lights College.  As a recognized student leader and volunteer, Justin was awarded by Guard.Me as one of the top campus ambassadors. Passionate about mental health advocacy, he actively engages in community volunteering.  He also has a love for travel and is always eager to learn new things.

Jovel is a Master of Laws (LLM) candidate at York University's Osgoode Hall Law School and is actively working towards her NCA licensing as a foreign-trained lawyer. Her passion for community service deepened during her time working up north in Nunavik, Quebec, where she saw firsthand the resilience of remote northern communities and the difference meaningful support can make.
Now a driven summer student with the team, Jovel is dedicated to empowering individuals to push themselves, pursue their education and trainings, and find fulfilling employment that unlocks their full potential. Outside of work and studies, Jovel brings that same discipline and grace to the dance floor, she takes ballet classes at Dawson Creek Dance Co.

Corbin has always had a passion for theatre and enjoys expressing himself through performance. His strong communication skills allow him to connect with others with confidence and authenticity. Whether he’s on stage or working with people, Corbin brings creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication to everything he does.
As a Program Assistant Summer Student, Corbin is committed to supporting individuals in their personal and professional growth. He enjoys helping create welcoming and positive experiences for participants and takes pride in contributing to programs that make a meaningful difference in the community. His ability to listen, collaborate, and adapt allows him to work effectively with a wide range of people and situations.
In his free time, Corbin enjoys photography and capturing meaningful moments through his unique perspective. Through both the performing arts and photography, he finds creative ways to tell stories, celebrate connections, and highlight the beauty found in everyday life.
